(เครื่องหมายวรรคตอน)

ใช้ในการเขียนประโยคภาษาอังกฤษอย่างถูกต้อง แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภทคือ เครื่องหมายที่อยู่ภายในประโยค และเครื่องหมายที่อยู่ภายนอกประโยค มีทั้งหมด 11 ชนิด้วยกัน ได้แก่

1.Comma  [  ,  ] ใช้แยกคำหรือวลี เช่น  Thomas,my friend,will  marry tomorrow.

2.Colon [ : } ใช้ในการขยายข้อความ เช่น  Do as follow: Stand up then sit down.

3.Semi Colon [;] ใช้ในการแยกอนุประโยค เช่น  It rains hard; therefore the drama is canceled.

4.Hyphen [-] ใช้ในการเชื่อมคำผสม เช่น He works with D&N – Corporation.

5.Dash [– }ใช้ในการแยกหรือแทรกข้อความ เช่น  I’d like to talk with you –not him.

6.full Stop [. ] ใช้เมื่อจบประโยค เช่น  Please believe me.

7.Triple Dots […} ใช้เพื่อละไว้ในฐานที่เข้าใจ เช่น …then she goes to sleep.

8.Question Mark [?] ใช้ในประโยคคำถาม เช่น  Who will be a volunteer?

9.Exclamation  Mark [! ] ใช้ในประโยคอุทานเช่น Oh!  my god.

10.Quatation Mark [“….  “] ใช้ในประโยคคำพูด เช่น  You can call me ‘ Airy’

11.Parentheses [     ] ใช้เสริมหรือเน้นข้อความ เช่น He [the tall guy] always be my good student.
