(คำบุพบท)

คือคำที่ใช้เชื่อมคำนามหรือคำสรรพนามให้เข้ากับคำชนิดอื่นๆเช่น นามกับนาม, นามกับสรรพนามและกริยากับนามหรือสรรพนาม

ชนิดของคำบุพบท

1.Simple Preposition  คือบุพบทที่เป็นคำเดี่ยว เช่น in/on/at/for/till

2.Compound Preposition  คือบุพบทที่เป็นคำผสม เช่น above/behind/between/without

3.Participle Preposition  คือคำบุพบทที่ลงท้ายด้วย ing เช่น during/considering

4.Phrasal Preposition  คือบุพบทวลี หรือกลุ่มคำที่ทำหน้าที่บุพบท เช่น because of/by the side

การแบ่งคำบุพบทตามชนิดที่นำไปใช้

1 บุพบทเกี่ยวกับเวลา ได้แก่ in/on/at/to/by/during/before/after….etc.

2 บุพบทเกี่ยวกับสถานที่ ได้แก่ in/on/under/inside/behind/in front of…etc.

3 บุพบทที่ใช้ในสำนวนต่างๆ เช่น   by car/on time/on duty/on the way/in a hurry/at best/in love

from now on/by hand/on holiday/in danger…..etc.

ตัวอย่างการใช้คำบุพบท

My birthday is on January 28^th ,1961.

Could you come to work in time?

Those chairs made of wood.

I’d like to live among the nature.

We can’t work without the electricity.

That book is written by  Joanna  Rocers.

In case of fire,you can come out of the office by the fire exit.
